Ordination

At Echad Apostolic Church and Ministries, ordination is a sacred and significant milestone in the life of our church community. It is a time when we recognize and affirm the calling of individuals to serve in ministry roles. Below, you will find information about our ordination process, requirements, and upcoming ceremonies.

Why Ordination?

Why Ordination matters? Ordination is essential because it affirms God’s calling on a person’s life, provides accountability within the church body, and serves as a visible sign of leadership within the Christian community. It also strengthens the local church as ordained leaders take on critical roles in teaching, shepherding, and guiding others toward spiritual growth.

The Process

At Echad Apostolic Ministries, we believe that ordination is both a divine calling and a commitment to lifelong service. The process includes:

  1. Spiritual Preparation: Candidates engage in prayer, mentorship, and study to grow deeper in their understanding of their calling.
  2. Training & Equipping: Through intensive biblical and ministry training, candidates are equipped with the necessary tools for effective leadership and service in the church.
  3. Examination: Candidates are examined by church elders to assess their spiritual maturity, understanding of Scripture, and readiness for ministry.
  4. Commissioning Service: During a special ordination service, the candidate is prayed over, hands are laid on them, and they are formally commissioned into their role within the church.

 Types of Ordained Ministry

What is Ordination?

Ordination is the process by which individuals are consecrated and set apart for ministry within the church. It involves a formal recognition of their calling, gifts, and commitment to serve God and the community.

 Ordained Ministry

  • Pastoral Ministry: For those called to preach, teach, and shepherd the flock.
  • Deacon Ministry: For individuals called to serve in the practical needs of the church and support the leadership.
  • Evangelistic Ministry: For those with a passion for outreach and sharing the Gospel.

Reflecting on the journey of Esther, an orphan raised by her uncle God placed providentially in the King’s palace. She displayed courage and political astuteness to prevent the genocide of her Jewish community. Don’t quit the race, God have a place in time for you.
